β‘ The rising fear of ChatGPT and AI
You may be hearing about AI a lot in the news these days. Clearly, AI is overshadowing Web3 and NFTs. For most people, AI has become the bone of contention and debates are happening all over. We canβt deny that the impact of AI on society is a complex and multifaceted issue. On one hand, AI has the potential to greatly improve our lives through automation and efficiency. On the other hand, the increasing use of AI also raises concerns about job displacement, privacy, and bias.
With AI, the most heated debate is around the potential replacement of humans in the near future. The recent buzz around ChatGPT has accelerated this debate. Within a week of its launch, ChatGPT has crossed more than 1 million users. There are speculations all over the internet that the platform can replace Google search and more so humans in the future.
Before we dive deep, letβs understand - what is it actually?
This tool has been developed by OpenAi - an AI research and deployment company. ChatGPT is a tool that can assist humans in generating text and is used to generate text in meaningful ways. As a user, you just have to feed in your query and the chatbot will reply to them. Additionally, ChatGPT is not capable of understanding or responding to emotions, intentions, or other factors that are important in human communication.
We also checked out the tool and play with it. The results were shocking. It definitely impressed us and now we realized why the whole world is going bonkers.
This all is cool but the real question which still remains is whether it can replace humans in the near future or not. According to us, AI has made significant advancements in recent years but it is still limited in many ways. It is not capable of fully replicating the complexity and nuance of human thought and communication.
It is unlikely that the world will become overly reliant on or "obsessed" with ChatGPT or other AI technologies. Instead, it is more likely that AI will be used in a more measured and thoughtful way, as a tool to assist humans in performing complex tasks and making better decisions.
