🤯 Google’s Bard
Google is back in the news and this time for its latest AI creation, Bard. The announcement of the chatbot as a competitor to OpenAI's ChatGPT was made this week and it was stated that it would be accessible to the general public in the upcoming weeks.
The competition between Microsoft and Google in the field of AI-powered search engines heats up as Microsoft makes a massive investment in ChatGPT and integrates it with Bing. This move caused Google to raise the alarm internally, with one of its co-founders, Sergey Brin, returning to work after a long break and filing his first code request.
However, despite the seemingly late entry, Google has been working on AI integration in its search engine since 2015. The company introduced the RankBrain Algorithm, which uses artificial intelligence to enhance search results. RankBrain understands the search queries and constantly improves its results based on user interaction data. So, while Microsoft may have made a big splash with its investment in ChatGPT, Google has been at the forefront of AI integration in search engines for many years now. The race to create the best AI-powered search engine is on, and only time will tell which company will come out on top.
During its internal testing phase, Google found that the RankBrain algorithm outperformed its engineers by 10% in suggesting the best pages for a given search. This remarkable achievement is a testament to the effectiveness of RankBrain, which has been improving search results for users for several years now.
In a related development, Google is also testing its latest conversational AI service, Bard, which is powered by LaMDA, the company's language model for dialogue applications. This cutting-edge technology is expected to revolutionise how people interact with search engines.
With the combination of RankBrain and Bard, Google is positioning itself as a leader in the AI-powered search engine market, and it will be exciting to see how these cutting-edge technologies continue to evolve and improve the search experience for users.
So, in Google’s language, Bard is a new and innovative AI service that they currently testing. It uses advanced language models, like LaMDA, and information from the web to help simplify complex topics and answer questions. With Bard, you can explore and learn about new things in a conversational and easy-to-understand way.
Who do you think will win eventually?
According to us, Bard will be equipped with vast amounts of information and will be connected to Google's search engine, giving it an edge over Microsoft's Chat GPT. Unlike Chat GPT, which has been known to sometimes make mistakes and exaggerate stories, Bard is expected to deliver accurate and trustworthy information to its users. With its powerful data resources and integration with Google's search engine, it is poised to become a leading conversational AI service.

🏊♀️ A topic worth diving into!
The bus ticket theory of genius
The key to doing great work is a combination of natural ability, determination, and an obsessive interest in a particular topic. This obsession should be without a specific purpose, allowing for the discovery of new ideas and paths that others may overlook. It is also important that the topic of obsession matters, as determined by factors such as creating something rather than just consuming it.
