What do you think is missing right now in the learning space and what are you trying to do in an effort to fill the gap?
For me, the biggest problem in the space right now is the minimum emphasis on soft skill development alongside technical abilities. I come from a performing arts background where pleasing your audience has always been about your communication and delivery skills alongside your technical prowess and creativity. In my opinion, an average engineer with a high EQ and good communication skills is much more employable than a great engineer who cannot get their point across effectively. I truly believe people like to work with those whose company they enjoy. At the end of the day, getting to the finish line sufficiently requires one to have healthy relationships with all stakeholders in addition to the minimum technical abilities to pull off the task at hand. At Airtribe, we design learning activities keeping in mind underlying soft skills such as communication, problem-solving, critical thinking, and ownership, amongst others in all our courses.
How do you envision providing superb and insightful learning experiences to learners at Airtribe?
It is challenging but exciting and in moments when we get it right, it is super satisfying! I aim to try and get our learners nearer to their personal and professional goals. The role of education has always been to provide the foundations for independent thinking and furnish opportunities for advancement. At Airtribe, we collaborate with the best industry practitioners and provide them with our support in helping add adult pedagogic principles and learner-centric design philosophies to every aspect of a course. Right from the first application form that learners fill out to the final demo day, that is a culmination of all things learned during the said course. We are mindful of the busy calendars of all our learners and carefully craft our learning activities to seamlessly weave into their schedules while making sure that they are provided with the support to reach the course outcomes comfortably.
🤔What our learners have to say
Last Thursday morning, we got a chance to sit down with Chiranjib Bhattacharjee for a morning ☕ He delighted us with his inspiring career journey along with his experience in our cohort of the Enterprise SaaS PM course that recently concluded.
Chiranjib threw light on how hands-on learning with the power of a strong community helped him meet, network, and collaborate with lots of talented people from diverse backgrounds.
According to him, Abhishek - our star instructor on this course, the insightful guest speaker sessions and his peers complemented the learning journey and multiplied its effects by many folds.
We are very proud to have learners like him! Wishing him all the best for his continued success🌟
📖 What have we read on this tranquil Sunday afternoon?
Time for some brain food 🍽️
Productivity
“It doesn’t matter how fast you move if it’s in a worthless direction. Picking the right thing to work on is the most important element of productivity and usually almost ignored”
We found this great blog by Sam Altman who is the CEO of OpenAI and the former president of Y Combinator. Sam has been a renowned name in the startup world and has mentored many such companies into commendable growth.
Reading this will surely help & guide you in the element of productivity and how you can manage it well.
Special shoutout to our folks 🥂
We are building on the foundations of a very strong community. For this week, Kudos! to Thiyagarajan, Pallavi, Giang, Shruti, Ayisha and Karupa for being the most active contributors in our community.

😂 Meme of the week
💫 A recent discovery we found fascinating
For this week, we came across a viral thread that covered a very interesting story on a 2009 Stanford business school project.

The thread uncovers a key foundational lesson on the merits of first principles thinking. It also sheds light on how we can benefit if we approach the problems from a position of high leverage.
Give it a read if you feel like going into the depths of creative thinking and approach.
✨ Signing off with some wisdom
